Hydroseeding

What is Hydroseeding?

• Hydroseeding is a simple, economical and efficient way to plant grass. Grass seed is mixed with water and cellulose fiber mulch by a machine, and then sprayed in a thin layer onto your topsoil. The blanket of mixture helps the seeds germinate and grow deep roots and an even layer of grass.

• Hydroseeding can be done in spring, summer or fall. As long as you are there to keep your growing lawn watered (it needs to be kept wet at all times for 6 to 8 weeks), and your new lawn should be growing solidly and thickly in three weeks.

Advantages of  Hydroseeding

Straw mulch, which is traditionally used for lawn seeding, contains a lot of weeds — but with hydroseeding, you’ll have no weeds in your lawn except what comes flying through the air.
